The Beach House is a Bed and Breakfast located on Ocracoke Island, NC on the Outer Banks. Ocracoke Island is  part of the southern Outer Banks which is a narrow strip of land that runs along the outer edge of the coastal North Carolina. This  island  home offers lodging to visitors seeking  accommodations for a vacation rental on Ocracoke Island.
The Beach House was built in 1918 by Captain Walter O’Neal, a well known hunting and fishing guide.  The home  has been providing hospitality to island visitors over the past 80 years.
The  beach style cottage, with hip line roofs, minor gingerbread details and covered porch is typical of Ocracoke homes during  that time period.  The house is furnished with an eclectic mix of  antiques. A large front porch with rocking chairs and swing helps guest to adjust to Ocracoke’s relaxed life style.
Over the years the house has been modernized with the addition of central heat, air conditioning, bathrooms, and a modern kitchen.  The Oak floors and cypress beaded ceiling boards remain, providing charm and character.
